- the metaphors in the Sorry! scene made me want to kiss Edlund on the face; when Cas held up the box, it seemed almost sarcastic or mocking, not serious, and the moment he told Dean to go back to start made me scream; also I kind of agree with Dean saying, “you’re playing Sorry” because so much of what Cas is doing right now seems like a performance, idk
- maybe it was just me, but for me the Hester scene was really parallel to the Uriel scene when he was beating up Cas and screaming about no wrath, no God, and then he was stabbed by Anna, which I’m thinking means Meg is supposed to be kind of like the new Anna? which would be good in some ways and bad in others
- I can’t figure out whether Cas still blames himself for what happened in Heaven, or whether he doesn’t understand/care
- the only way I can explain how I feel about Cas in this episode is by comparing him to Sam in What Is And What Should Never Be; he was the same character, but he wasn’t the same character and it was just really off-putting and made me feel unhappy and uncomfortable
- I just don’t like Meg
- and I probably never will again
- I just want everyone to be friends again and not in the stupid we’re-allies-we-get-along-but-we-don’t-really-love-each-other-way
- I want to remember why Cas gave up everything for Dean
- I want to remember when Dean told Cas he was the closest thing he had to family
- I want to be happy again

I think the idea was for us to think that^ at this scene. Reinforced by the emotionally loaded “What do you need? -You” further into this episode. But I think this is bait (I won’t go into how there are so many forced intentions for the viewer to lay eyes on Sherlock+anyonebutJohn in this series, but I will say this:)
I think this is Sherlock’s face while he realizes “you are right, you don’t count. I don’t think you do. SO… Moriarty wouldn’t think you count either.” And that’s the exact moment when Sherlock plans his face-to-face with Moriarty on the roof of the hospital. If Moriarty had thought Molly counted, he would have added her to the list of Sherlock’s friends and there would have been a fourth sniper. But he didn’t, because Molly is actually right when she says she doesnt’ count. Paradoxically, the exact moment she says so, she becomes the most important piece of the Sherlock’s plan for defeating Moriarty and surviving it. (How he did that is another story and I genuinely have NO IDEA what they’ll come up with. But I’m sure Molly was very much important in that plan)
Less romantic, I know, but I think the reason why Sherlock was “sad” as Molly says is because he hadn’t yet figure out the whole fake-my-own-death plan.
